A new version of KnowboForm v1.6 beta has been released on 31 December 2007. The download is free for registered beta users and the license is valid till 31st May, 2008. Registration is free and the LFL offering is still open.

This version enables you to explore many more avenues of website promotion and marketing. It's built in database contains hundreds and thousands of directories, search engines, press release distribution networks, software distribution and download sites. Most of the sites allow free submission.

KnowboForm v1.6 beta has the following new features added:

• More sites added to its database making a total of more than 6,000 sites.
• Article submission template profile modified.
• Improvement in auto update of site database.
  
• New fields added to the site database and those are automatically updated.
  
• Profile export/import functionality.
• Submission export/import functionality.
  
• Summarized Site information screen with site thumbnail picture.
• Summarized Profile information screen.
• Improved look and feel, interaction modifications with enhanced tool bar.
  
• Improved form filling with pattern matched category selection.
  
• Random selection feature of profile input value is modified. The new entry separator (`) now allows alternate patterns for category selection.
• Some bugs have been fixed and many improvements are made.

If you are a Lifetime Free License (LFL) holder you will receive the same level of support as the paid customers of KnowboForm who are entitled to upgarde support. That means as and when a new version or upgarde of KnowboForm is released you will receive a free license or registration key as appropriate. That means you will always have the fully functional product, you will never have to pay for it, and you will continue receiving this throughout the lifetime of this product.

To be entitled to an LFL you have to satisfy some requirements. Please see the FAQ on "How to obtain a Lifetime Free License (LFL)" for more information. 

KnowboForm requires User ID abd Password to login. This is useful if you want to divide your submission tasks among multiple users. That way you will have user wise submission count and other statistics that may be useful for controling and user payment processiong. This feature is especially useful for third party submission team who submits to thousands of sites daily on behalf of their customers.

By deafult KnowboForm comes with two user accounts WITHOUT ANY PASSWORD. The user IDs are GUEST and ADMIN. Using ADMIN account you may create additional users as required.

Some registered users get confused whether they should use their registration ID/PASSWORD to run KnowboForm. The answer is simply NO. Registration user id and password is different from KnowboForm user id and password. However if you like you may create similar (or whatever) id/password for KnowboForm using the ADMIN account.

In the README.TXT you may also find the id/password related information as below:

It is recommended to set your admin account password after installation. 

Yes, of course. Click on the Site Info tab at the bottom of the screen. Enter the site information on the row marked with asterisk (*) and press the [Save] button when done. You should at least specify Site Domain and CID. Following are some of the important fields that are available for a site:

Www - Enter "www." if it is required otherwise keep it blank.

SiteDomain - The domain address of the site without www. Example - "knowbotron.com"

StFolder -  If for example the directory is in a folder you can enter the folder part here. Www, SiteDomain, and StFolder when combined together should give the proper site address that is browsable.

CID - Category ID, you can see the available category id list from the Categories tab of the Profile dialog. Example - "*GEN" for general directory.

There are about 50+ fields you can enter for a particular site. Each of the field has been described in the help file.

Once a Site is saved you can  clear the filter from the Site List context menu ( [Right Click] on the Site List and choose Clear Filter) to see your site in the list. You can later on update site information by directly editing in the Site Info grid or choosing Update Site from the context menu of the Site Info Title Bar.
